THE HAIRY Bikers are returning to our television screens with a new series which will see them ‘Go Local’.

The Hairy Bikers Go Local kicks off with its first episode on Tuesday, January 3 at 8pm on BBC2.

The series will see TV chefs Dave Myers, born in Barrow, and Si King play cupid among local restaurants and local suppliers – encouraging them to ‘Go Local’.

The series is described by the BBC as: “The Hairy Bikers are back, this time with an important mission: to play matchmaker and bring together the best local restaurants with the most innovative local suppliers.”

Episode one takes us to a restaurant in South Wales looking for a Michelin star.

The second episode, on Wednesday, January 4, sees Dave and Si travel to Glasgow searching for ingredients for a Scottish-Malaysian infusion menu, and the third episode, airing on Thursday, January 5, involves a trip to the Cotswold, hunting for ingredients for a ten-course tasting menu. The fourth episode, airing next Friday, January 6, takes us to Fife on a hunt for local ingredients for a beach front café.

Episode five will be on our screens on Tuesday, January 10, and will feature a creative country pub chef looking for local ingredients in Norfolk, while episode six on Wednesday, January 11, will take us to Yorkshire searching for ingredients for a vegetarian Indian restaurant.

The final two episodes on Thursday, January 12 and Friday, January 13, will see the Bikers head to Wales searching for ingredients for an award-winning gastro pub, and to Northumberland to find local produce for a Michelin star chef.

Taking to social media to announce the new show to fans, the Hairy Bikers said: “Surprise!
