A POPULAR lakeside hostelry is closed as it undergoes a major refurbishment.
The Ship Inn, on Glebe Road, in Bowness has announced the temporary closure.
The establishment's Facebook page states: "The ship is now closed until March 1 as we are undergoing an exciting and extensive refurbishment.
"The quayside sports bar will also be closed but is due to reopen on the February 11.
"Sorry for any inconvenience and happy new year."
