A KENDAL man will appear in court charged with nine drug related offences.

Kirk Venning of Crookfield in Staveley will face South Cumbria Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 1.

He is accused of possessing 46 tablets of tapetadol, a controlled class A drug, in Kendal on October 22, 2021.

He is also accused of possessing 25 tablets of oxymetholone, a controlled class C drug, 629 grams of cannabis, a controlled class B drug, 3.57 grams of Dimethyltryptamine, a controlled class A drug, 45 tablets of Chloromethandienone, a controlled class C drug, and 24 grams of psilocin, a controlled class A drug, on October 22, 2021 in Staveley.

He is also accused of being knowingly concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a class A drug, namely 300 tablets of tapentadol, between July 29, 2021 and October 22, 2021 in Staveley.

The 42-year-old is also said to have been knowingly concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a class C drug, namely 550 tablets of zopiclone, between July 30, 2021 and October 22, 2021 in Staveley.

Mr Venning faces a final charge of allegedbly being knowingly concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a class A drug, namely 330 tablets of tapentadol, between July 29, 2021 and October 22, 2021 in Staveley.
