THE North West Film Archive will present a specially curated selection of local films at the Brewery Arts centre.

Tailored to a Cumbrian audience, TV Time Machine: TV Comes North charts the history of television in the North from first broadcasts to award-winning documentaries and regional news output.

This specially curated screening on February 9 brings the small screen to the big screen featuring archive news and documentary footage from the Lake District and the surrounding area, with introductions by Geoff Senior from the North West Film Archive.

Geoff Senior said: "We're looking forward to being back at the Brewery this time to tell the story of TV in the North and with thanks to the BBC and ITV to be able to share a few gems from our TV collections from both across the north as well as closer to home for the people of the Kendal area."

Tickets can be purchased from breweryarts.co.uk or by calling 01539 725133.
