A COMPANY known for being the only firm to produce baby milk in Britain is looking to expand its Kendal base.
Kendal Nutricare Ltd wants to have a new building set up to house specialist machinery and equipment.
The new structure would have a ground-floor area of around 970 sq metres in size and sit alongside the company's existing factory and associated buildings in Mint Bridge Road.

A design and access statement submitted in support of the application says the plan is a revised scheme seeking permission for a larger building than was approved in November of last year.
"The client needs additional space within the building than previously envisaged," says the document from P J Architectural.
Dylan McMahon, co-founder of Kendal Nutricare, said: "We are delighted to continue developing our world-class site in Kendal and to be creating new local jobs at a time when so many other businesses have had to lay off staff."
A decision on the application is to be made by Westmorland and Furness Council.
