TWO ARTISTS are holding an exhibition of recent work in a church.

Hugh Dickson and Wendy Randall will run an exhibition from May 18 to 24 from 12 to 6pm at St. Anne’s, in Ings.

Hugh Dickson paintings will be called under the title "A Hiker's Eye."

He is a lifelong fell walker and Cumbria blue badge tourist guide and is chair of Ambleside and District Art Society (ADAS).

He spends a great deal of time on the fells leading LGBTQ+ groups and overseas visitors and has always been inspired by the constantly changing mood of the landscape he lives in.

His painting has evolved as a response to coping with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and plays a very important part in managing his condition.

Wendy Randall paintings are called “Things I Love” - a self explanatory title, though not exhaustive in its range.

She said: "As well as painting in a fairly traditional way, I like to experiment with, and include found objects and a variety of materials."

She teaches art to painters, holds workshops and music to Staveley Choral Society.
