CHANNEL 4's newest series of Extraordinary Escapes will feature Windermere Jetty Museum.

The episode airs on Wednesday, June 14 at 9pm and follows Sandi Toksvig and celebrity guest Judi Love as they go to Cumbria and stay in the Gaia Farmhouse in Ullswater.

Continuing their journey, they will climb aboard MV Penelope II, a restored heritage boat owned by the Jetty Museum.

The pair journey across Windermere to Great Gables – a holiday home which overlooks views of the lake and surrounding landscape. Originally built in 1930, Penelope II is a motor vessel which today is enjoyed by visitors who can hop aboard for a trip on the lake.

Ian Shirra, Boating Manager, says: “I had the pleasure of taking Sandi and Judi out on the water onboard MV Penelope II. The journey across the lake is beautiful and being onboard the 1930s boat makes it even more spectacular. It is incredible to be able to share the unique experience of boarding and travelling in one of our beloved heritage boats.”

Extraordinary Escapes is an inspiring series that discovers the UK’s most remote and beautifully designed holiday stays. Presented by Sandi Toksvig with a different celebrity guest each week, the show is a celebration of the nation's architecturally ambitious and ingenuously designed stay locations.
