A MAN skateboarding the length of the UK on four wheels has made his stop in the Lake District.
Gary Walker from Stubbington started his epic challenge of skateboarding from John O'Groats to Land's End as a way of celebrating his 50th birthday and helping the charity Children With Cancer UK.
He is travelling alone with a rucksack, a tent and a sleeping bag and stopping for the night wherever he ends up that day.
Gary stopped in Grasmere and Windermere as part of his 1000-mile journey, which started on May 18.
He said: "The Lake District is amazing. I have been here before but have never seen parts of it that I saw when I was skateboarding.
"I will definitely be back."
The man, who is currently on day 36, hopes to finish the challenge on June 28.
The skateboarder has already reached his £5000 target, however, he is still accepting donations.
