Three years later, members of a Cumbrian Lunch Club will meet again to enjoy an afternoon with friends.
Age UK South Lakes is hosting the first Reconnecting Cumbria lunch club in Grasmere today, Wednesday June 28.
The Inn Collection Group’s The Swan will throw a two-course dinner for 24 guests.
Starting at 12:15pm, everyone who attends will be able to enjoy a catch up with fellow members of their community.
Reconnecting Cumbria is a major collaborative project between four Age UK branches in the county that aims to re-establish social activity groups like the lunch club as well as found new ones to help isolated older people to re-engage in their local communities.
