POLICE crews were called to Stramongate Bridge in the early hours of today (June 28).
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Police were called shortly after 4.35 am this morning (28 June) to a report of a cyclist who had fallen off his bike on Stramongate Bridge, Kendal.
"It is believed he suffered from a medical episode.
"Police and North West Ambulance Services attended the scene, and the cyclist was taken to hospital.
"Not other vehicles were involved."
