A KENDAL man accused of fraud is facing extradition to Romania.
Paul Halliwell, 57, was apprehended after a European Arrest Warrant was issued, according to court papers.
The warrant was issued in 2017 by Romania for an alleged fraud offence.
The defendant, of Long Close, has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Westminister Magistrates' Court on September 4.
The decision on whether he can be extradited is due to be made by a judge in October.
