Lakeland law firm, Temple Heelis, has been re-accredited for its exemplary conveyancing services.

The local firm has now held the Quality Conveyancing Scheme (CQS) accreditation, delivered by the Law Society, since 2012. This award recognises the highest quality standards in the UK's legal profession.

Head of Residential Conveyancing at Temple Heelis, Lizzie Priestley expressed her delight at the firm's achievement.

She said: “The CQS is the legal profession’s quality mark and means that we are achieving the highest standards for our clients. When we are assessed for re-accreditation, there is a strenuous review of our approach, our service standards, our clarity and transparency about costs, and our legal expertise.

"Assessment is done at a national level and applying criteria which all firms undertaking residential conveyancing work must meet – and exceed.”

Those with accreditation have shown expertise in delivering residential conveyancing advice, communicating with clients about what is involved and the costs, and managing and reducing risk.

Lizzie Priestley said: "Here in the Lake District, we have a wide variety of residential property sales and purchases on which we advise. They range from local occupancy homes to some of the UK’s most expensive estates.

"Our four-strong team has a wealth of experience and receives continuous training and development to ensure we are always providing the very best service and experience for every client we advise.”

Temple Heelis's conveyancing services extend to purchases and sales of primary homes, second homes, investment properties, and retirement properties.

Ms Priestley said: "We are very familiar with both freehold and leasehold arrangements, local occupancy clauses, restrictive covenants, sheltered accommodation, private roads, rights of access, easements, unregistered land and Chancel issues.

"The nature of the Lake District is such that we come across every possible scenario in the residential conveyancing process!”

Temple Heelis has offices in Kendal, Windermere and Ambleside.
