A LORRY driver was arrested after a fatal crash on the A65.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash near to Ingleton at 7:15 am on Saturday.
Police say a man in his 30’s from Settle driving a black Ford Ranger pick-up vehicle died in a collision with a white Iveco heavy goods vehicle. His family have been made aware and are being supported by officers.
The driver of the lorry, a man in his 40’s, has been arrested in connection with this incident. He remains in police custody.
Police urge any motorists who were travelling along the road, who saw either of the vehicles prior to the collision or the collision itself, to contact them.
They would particularly like to hear from anyone who has captured dash-cam footage of the vehicles or the incident.

The A65/A687 junction remains closed to allow collision investigators to conduct a thorough examination of the scene.
Motorists are advised to find alternative routes, as the road is expected to be closed for some time.
