Kendal Calling has been nominated in the UK Festival Awards for the Best Medium-sized Festival.

The awards are the UK’s only fully festival focused awards decided by online fan votes and a panel.

The awards have different size catergories such as Large, Medium-Sized, Small Festival and Micro as well awards for the likes of Best Metropolitan Festival the Grassroots Festival Award.

For all awards, scoring is conducted online without any reference to other scorers and based solely on the submission of the entrant.

This ensures that the scores are unbiased and judges are not swayed by the opinions of other panel members. Judges are also asked to absent themselves from any discussions where they may have a vested interest.

A spokesperson on the Kendal Calling said: "After an absolutely stellar weekend in the fields earlier this year, we're over the moon to say we've been nominated in the UK Festival Awards for Best Medium Festival. But we need your help.

"The awards are fan voted so if you had a brilliant time with us at Lowther this year, we'd be incredibly grateful if you'd consider taking a minute to give us here: www.bit.ly/KCAward23

"From the booking to the decor, we pour our heart and soul into Kendal Calling to put on the best weekend possible.

"It doesn't stop there though, we have an amazing team of suppliers and crew who live away from home for weeks each year, without whom none of this would be possible.

"At Kendal Calling HQ, we would be eternally grateful if you could help us say the biggest THANK YOU to them, recognising all their hard work by helping us win this award."

Shortlists will be announced via email and the UK Festival Awards website and social media on October 26.

Panel judges will then determine the winner, which will be announced at the UK Festival Awards on the evening of December 5 at Escape to Freight Island, Manchester.
