A KENDAL man has been charged with three offences following an investigation by the police.
Jeffrey Hayton, 57, of no fixed abode, has been charged with arson (not endangering life), use of a vehicle to kill a wild bird and breach of community behaviour order (CBO).
A CBO is an order placed by a court to reduce antisocial behaviour and wider offending.
This follows an alleged incident in the area of Stricklandgate, Kendal, on October 14.
Hayton appeared before the South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court and, following an initial not-guilty plea, is due to appear before Carlisle Crown Court on November 13 2023.
