SOUTH Lakes Police has said that it has issued 'a number of drivers' with tickets at a left-only junction at Stricklandgate.
The police said that it receives a high volume of complaints about the junction. A spokesperson said: "Ignoring this mandatory directions sign causes an annoyance to other motorists.
"Today (October 27) we have issued a number of tickets to motorists failing to comply and will continue to do so.
"Please share to family and friends that this is a left turn-only junction and ignoring the sign could result in a £50 fine."
