A pub in Cartmel is hoping to spread the magic of Christmas this year with a new fundraiser.
The Pig and Whistle on Aynsome Road is taking part in the 'Cash For Kids' initiative and is hoping to raise £1500 by December 23.
The idea of the scheme is to raise as much money as possible so that children living in poverty can be given a present on Christmas Day.
The owners said: "Everything raised in our area stays in our area.
"Every donation counts and what you give will be used to buy a gift for a child who really needs it."
