A PERSON has pleaded guilty to illegally claiming over £1,500 in Universal Credit claims.
Lisa Greenland, of Ruskin Grove in Bolton-le-Sands admitted three counts of fraud by false representation at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on December 11.
The court heard Greenland declared in an online claim form that they were paying rent of £525 a month when they were not related to the landlord on July 7 2021, August 9 2021 and October 28 2021.
In total, Greenland acknowledged to claiming for themselves an additional £1,575 in Universal Credit.
The 35-year-old also confessed a separate charge of failing to disclose Universal Credit between January 7 2021 and October 6 2022.
The case was committed to Carlisle Crown Court on January 12 next year in order for a confiscation order to be considered.
