A CHOIR has raised funds for roof repairs at the Unitarian Chapel schoolroom.
Fellas Male Voice Choir, thirty voices based in Kendal, held its Christmas Concert in the Chapel, where they raised over £600 for the repairs.
Part of the Grade ll Listed Schoolroom’s ornate ceiling collapsed in November 2022 and requires substantial expensive renovation.
The building is used regularly used by a wide range of community groups and charities who are all desperate to use it again.
The choir rehearse every Wednesday during term time and is taught by professional singer Emily Robinson.
They sang John Ball, Lamorna, and Crossing the Bar to rapturous applause and ended the evening with Christmas songs and carols.
After the Christmas break, the Choir will reconvene on Wednesday, January 3, at 6pm.
