Some schools in Cumbria are beginning to close due to the snow.Â
Frequent snow showers are likely to cause further disruption to travel during Wednesday and Thursday.
Here's a list of the current school closures:
- Frizington's Kirkland Church of England AcademyÂ
- Millom's Thwaites SchoolÂ
- Old Hutton CofE School in Kendal, will be closed from 12.30pm due to the worsening road conditions.Â
- Selside Endowed CofE Primary School
- Penrith's Millburn School is also closed, however that is due to planned electrical work.Â
- Great Corby Primary School in Carlisle
- Penruddock Primary School in Penrith
- Culgaith CofE School in Penrith
- The Lakes School in WindemereÂ
