NEIGHBOURHOOD Policing Team (NPT) were 'out in force' last night, January 27, conducting proactive patrols of rural areas, according to South Lakes Police.
This targeted activity is focused on locating and arresting those involved in rural theft, burglary and wildlife offences.
The patrol took place in Cartmel, Coniston, Hawkshead, Grizedale and Fell Foot areas.
South Lakes Police explained that one arrest was made when the NPT Officers supported their patrol colleagues at an unrelated incident at a local hotel.
A spokesperson for South Lakes Police said: "Lots of positive feedback from those we stop checked during the night despite the delay to your journey, thank you for your cooperation.
"If you have any information or concerns about rural crime or wildlife offences please get in touch by calling 101, report online or drop us a direct message on Facebook or X."
