Brewery Arts is the leading arts and entertainment centre in Cumbria, presenting cinema, live music, theatre, festivals, exhibitions, creative learning and great food and drink in its welcoming venue in Kendal.

Whether it’s for a star studded live performance, a magical family theatre show, a blockbuster film, an international festival, or a tasty meal with friends, you can be sure of a memorable visit.

Presenting some of the most exciting acts from across the globe, upcoming live music gigs at the venue include award-winners Orchestra Baobab and ground-breaking indie acts BC Camplight, The Wedding Present and Bernard Butler.

The cinema programme features the best in arthouse and blockbuster films, including Kendal Mountain Festival, UK Green Film Festival, and the Japan Foundation Touring Programme.

Theatrical performances from NT Live, Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera are also brought to the venue via the screens, where those in Cumbria will have an opportunity to view performances normally only seen on stages in the UK’s biggest cities.

People of all ages and the stars of the future are nurtured and celebrated as part of the Learning & Engagement Programme, which incudes the Brewery Arts Schools Dance Platform, Brewery Tots, Act Your Age and Mature Movers.

Comedy completes the line-up of reasons to visit Brewery Arts, with acts including the likes of viral sensation Troy Hawke, TV regular Rosie Jones and the "Bafflingly Optimistic" Andy Parsons all scheduled to perform soon.

The latest exhibition presents Daniel Cooper’s artworks and prints that express the dramatic effects the weather has on the landscapes of the Lake District and Cumbria. His free to enter Atmospherics exhibit is on until April 13 in the Foyer Gallery and Sugar Store Gallery, open from 11am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday.

Brewery Arts is just one of the venues being highlighted by the Let’s Go Culture project, which has received £175,908 from the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is being supported by Westmorland & Furness Council. Brewery Arts opens from Tuesday to Saturday from 11am, and on Sundays from the first cinema screening.
