A STRETCH of the A66 has been closed as emergency services are on the scene of a two vehicle crash near Keswick.
Emergency services are currently responding to a two-vehicle collision near Bassenthwaite.
The A66 is due to be closed from the turn-off for Dubwath at the B5291 and the roundabout leading to the A591 near Keswick.
Diversions will be put in place.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area where possible.
The collision was reported at 9.04am.
UPDATE at 10.40am: The closure is now between the turn-offs from the A66 to Thornthwaite, with diversions along the Thornthwaite back road.
