THE road linking the centre of Troutbeck with the A592 will close for up to five days for utility works.
Greengate will close from March 9 from its junction with Patterdale Road, extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 525 metres.
There will still be a route for pedestrians and cyclists.
Drivers wishing to go to Troutbeck from the A592 will have to travel up to the Queen's Head and head back down via Townhead Brow.
There is currently a road closure at Kirkstone Pass, which starts beyond the Queen's Head. This will be in place for resurfacing works until Thursday, March 28.
Those wishing to go to Townend National Trust property from the A591 can do so from Bridge Lane or Holbeck Lane.
