THE bus shelter at Goodly Dale, Windermere, has been repaired and toughened to be 'more resilient' to cars crashing into it.
The shelter on Lake Road was found damaged on the evening of January 7.
The windows on both sides of the bus shelter had been smashed. It was thought that a car may have hit one side of the shelter and pushed the bench into the other window.
Sally Parkyn, clerk for Windermere and Bowness Town Council, said: "The town council took a decision to use polycarbonate sheeting which will hopefully be more resilient to future reversing drivers."
