NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two Cumbria businesses, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Black Bull Hotel, at Yewdale Road, Coniston was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 7.

And Masons Arms, at Long Marton, Appleby-In-Westmorland was also given a score of four on February 7.

It means that of Westmorland and Furness's 391 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 312 (80%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
