A greyhound named Ross at Dogs Trust Evesham with bunny-style ears is looking for a new home this Easter.

The four-year-old arrived at the centre at the start of 2024 and he’s proven to be loveable and he likes to play and interact with his human friends.

Since Ross is an ex-racing greyhound, staff at the centre aren’t sure if he’s ever lived in a home before but he’s a clever boy and his carers are confident he’ll settle into a new home well.

As an ex-racer, Ross needs to wear a muzzle when out and about on walks and he’ll need to be kept on the lead.

He’s looking for a new home with a secure garden so he can enjoy fun off the lead and he could share his space with another dog of a similar breed and temperament. This would depend on a successful mix at the centre before he is adopted.

At the centre he spent time with fellow ex-racing greyhound Millie and the pair got on so well – Millie is also looking for her forever home but is currently reserved.

You can find out more about Ross via the Dogs Trust Evesham website.

Ross could live in a moderately busy home environment with children who are of a secondary school age but he’s a bit too big and clumsy to live with young children.

He tried to remain house-trained but he would benefit from a bit of a refresher.

His time left alone and car travel will need to be introduced slowly. Dogs Trust Evesham adds that Ross is “going to be a super fun and loving member of the family just as soon as he finds his paws.”
