It’s auction day! Dozens of properties across Cumbria went under the hammer today at 12pm noon.

Auction House Cumbria held their April meet at The Halston Hotel on Warwick Road in Carlisle.

Here is a break down of the guide prices and the actual prices these flats, houses and bungalows sold for.

 

Lot 2 – Number 7 at the Old Lound in Kendal

This single bedroom cottage is located in a sought after area, close to Kendal town centre and comes with off street parking as well as a garden.

The ground floor of the property comprises of a hall, lounge and kitchen, while a bedroom and bathroom can be found upstairs.

It is described as being in need of ‘complete refurbishment’ and went to auction with a guide price of £75,000.

The property sold for £144,000, going for £69,000 more than the asking price.

 

Lot 4 – Number 15 Meadowside Close at Endmoor in Kendal

This three bedroom detached bungalow is described as being in need of ‘full refurbishment partly due to water damage.’

The property consists of a hall, lounge, kitchen, and conservatory, there is also a family bathroom and three bedrooms, one of which is currently being used as a study.  Outside is a garden, drive and garage.

Arriving at auction with a guide price of £150,000, this bungalow eventually sold for £222,000, rising an additional £72,000 over asking price.

 

Lot 32 – Number 3 Town End Court at Natland in Kendal

A two bedroom ground floor apartment within a small development in the centre of Natland village provides easy access to Kendal, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the M6 Motorway.

The well presented accommodation comprises of an open plan lounge diner with kitchen, utility room, two bedrooms and shower room.

There is a garden to the side and rear of the property, as well as allocated parking.

From a guide price of £145,000, this property was bartered down to be sold for £136,000, £9000 below asking price.
