Guitar Heads, the newly-formed band fronted by British guitarists Jim Kirkpatrick and Paul Rose, will perform at the Roxy Ulverston this month.

The event is set to take place on April 26 at 8pm.

Known for his versatile skills, Mr Kirkpatrick, touted as 'England’s Joe Bonamassa' built a substantial reputation over the last 25 years for songwriting, slide guitar and fingerpicking.

He is perhaps most recognised for his collaborations with Bernie Marsden, Status Quo’s John ‘Rhino’ Edwards, and his extensive tenure as FM’s leading guitarist.

Additionally, he served as Thea Gilmore’s guitarist for seven years.

Mr Rose, an accomplished musician in his own right, nabbed the 'Guitarist of the Year' title from Guitarist magazine and won a competition judged by Rory Gallagher.

He has collaborated with the likes of Michael Schenker, John ‘Rabbit’ Bundrick and numerous other notable musicians.

Joining Mr Kirkpatrick and Mr Rose, is powerhouse drummer Harry James and bassist Chris Childs from British rock giants 'Thunder'.

'Thunder', known for their 1990 debut album Backstreet Symphony that climbed to number 21 on the UK Albums Chart, has boasted multiple top 10 albums, the most recent in 2017.

Guitar Heads promises a show featuring some of the most loved guitar classics from the last seven decades, performing hits from Thin Lizzy, Jeff Beck, Santana, Deep Purple, AC-DC, Eric Clapton, and Hendrix, to name a few.

Charles Morris, the Roxy’s proprietor, said: "The gig by T Rex in December proved that there is a demand in this area.

"Tickets have been selling well and if the atmosphere is anything like last time we are in for a brilliant night.

"Alcohol will be available along with our normal range of refreshments, so we will be providing the complete night out."

Tickets, priced at £18, are available from The Roxy’s website.
