Kendal-based Daniel Gray Hair & Beauty has scooped up an award.

The salon was declared winner of the 'Salon of the Year' category in the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2024, Chapter 1, which celebrates stylists and salons across England.

The awards are separated into different chapters to shed light on a wider talent pool, with Chapter 1 focusing on the North West of England.

The winners were announced by Creative Oceanic powered by Oceanic Awards.

Making its mark within the North West England pool, the Kendal salon was in stiff competition but emerged victorious.

The winners were declared at a grand ceremony at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on April 7.

Owner Nik Tomlinson celebrated the win, stating: "We are thrilled to have won this award.

"We are a team of 21 strong ladies, including stylists, receptionists, assistants, beauticians, marketing, our web team and me.

"However, without our clients, this would never have been achievable.

"Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and to everyone who supports our salon daily.

"It is wonderful to have our hard work recognised, and it is so exciting for the team to celebrate and enjoy this achievement together."

A spokesperson for The English Hair and Beauty Awards 2024, Chapter 1, said: "Winning an award in this prestigious competition is a significant achievement, as it acknowledges the talent and hard work of hair and beauty professionals and sets a benchmark for others to follow.

"The winners of these awards represent the highest standards of quality and service in the English hair and beauty industry.

"We want to congratulate all of our winners and highly commended on their accomplishments."

Ms Tomlinson also won the 'Creative Stylist of the Year' award for her exemplary work and innovative ideas within Daniel Gray Hair & Beauty for both clients and her team.
