A MOTORIST who drove with drugs in his system has been banned from driving.
Michael Shaw was charged with drug driving after he was found to have had a cannabis breakdown product in his blood while driving on the A590.
South Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard Shaw was driving a silver Ford Focus on the road near Witherslack on January 14.
The 42-year-old Barrow man pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared before the court.
Magistrates sentenced him to a £120 fine and banned him from getting behind the wheel of a car for 12 months.
Shaw, of Albert Street, was also a £48 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
