A Bolton-le-Sands heating installer has been crowned the national champion.

Nick Irlam, owner of Irlam UK, was crowned as the national winner of the Heating Installer Awards 2024, beating fierce competition from across the UK.

The award scheme, now in its ninth year, recognises installers demonstrating outstanding work and customer satisfaction.

The win was announced at the InstallerSHOW at the Birmingham NEC Arena.

Judging involved a technical challenge, customer verification process, and an online public vote.

Mr Irlam impressed the judges with his professionalism, problem-solving ability, and dedication to customer satisfaction.

After the event, Mr Irlam said: "I was delighted to have received such positive feedback from the judges this year, I was extremely proud of the project I submitted, and know how dedicated I am to my work, so to get some recognition felt amazing.

"But to win the national award is absolutely incredible – I am speechless.

"Winning the national title will help to grow my business, connect with manufacturers, and do more work with others operating in the heating industry."

In addition to the national title, Mr Irlam also bagged the HVAC Installer of the Year award - a new category introduced to celebrate installers who provide systems for customers that heat and cool homes, improving air quality and ventilation.

Expressing gratitude, Mr Irlam said: "Winning the HVAC Installer of the Year award is an incredible honour, and to be recognised on top of winning the national title is truly humbling.

"This recognition highlights the dedication and hard work I put into delivering comprehensive heating and cooling solutions for our customers."

Back in April, Mr Irlam secured the North West's best heating engineer award which put him in the running for the national award.

He was selected from hundreds of entries by an expert industry panel.

The win brings industry recognition and an array of prizes from award sponsors.
