A business owner in Kendal has donated the final stock from her shop after its closure to charity.
Maya Maya, owned by Amanda Slattery, last welcomed customers into its bricks-and-mortar shop in March this year, bringing an end to two decades of service.
Amanda is transitioning away from high street retail to focus on a more sustainable, ethical future with people still able to support the business through its online venture.

She said: "Overproduction, overconsumption, and thoughtless buying habits have shaped the fashion industry for too long.
"Now it's time for a better way."

Amanda previously spoke about how proud she was of the shop's success but, at a time of changes in the retail sector, she is now aiming to raise awareness about where people get their clothes from.
As part of the shift, Amanda donated the boutique’s final collection - comprising 100 garments and several occasion hats - to St Mary's Hospice of Ulverston.

The stock, originally worth roughly £17,000 at retail price, is available at the hospice's Grange-over-Sands store, giving locals the chance to buy high-end fashion whilst backing the charity at the same time.
A spokesperson on behalf of St Mary's Hospice commented: "Every sale we make helps provide care for local patients and families.
"With limited Government funding, St Mary’s depends on the kindness of our community to support eight out of 10 people we care for."

Other local fundraisers will benefit from donations too with Amanda wanting to share the goods to a variety of worthy causes.
While Maya Maya is now gone from the high street, Amanda is not stepping away from fashion entirely.
She is launching a private community group for women passionate about slow fashion, sustainability, and ethical style, with plans to collaborate with similarly conscious brands and to host educational content and podcasts.
