Kendal Pride is set to return this weekend.
The annual event, now in its third year, returns from June 13 to 15 with a full programme of activities designed for all ages, under the theme "together for everyone, no exceptions."
Jamie Hooper, chair of the organising group, said: "This year our theme is 'together for everyone, no exceptions,' and we know that pride is all the more important now, when the rights of LGBTQIA+ people are being stripped back in the UK, and continue to be under attack globally.
"We hope that the queer community, plus our allies, will come out in force to stand together and celebrate who we are across the weekend."
The Pride Village will take at Abbot Hall on Saturday, June 14, from 12pm to 6pm.
According to the organisers, the village will feature stalls, entertainment, and family-friendly activities from Ragtag Arts.
Other standout events include the Big Pride Party at Bowness Bay Brewery and a Celebration Vigil on Sunday afternoon.
Kendal Pride has partnered with Animal Rescue Cumbria to host the Proud Pooches Dog Show at the Pride Village.
The dog show, returning for a second year, will take place from 2pm to 3pm on Saturday.
The festival will also offers free walks, cycles, runs, and open water swims throughout the weekend.
The Big Pride Party will be held at Bowness Brewery and The Barrel House on Saturday night, featuring performances from drag queen Miss Gendered and drag king Andi Blewitt.
On Sunday, Abbot Hall will host talks including sessions with Anti Racist Cumbria, and discussions on menopause and LGBT parenting.
The Celebration Vigil will feature a performance by South Lakes Acapella at 1.30pm.
Kendal Pride is supported by sponsors and funders including Kendal Town Council, Kendal BID, the National Lottery Community Fund, the Westmorland Family, Herdy, Douglass Grange accountants, TryBooking, and Klean Kanteen.
Tickets for Kendal Pride's Big Pride Party are on sale for £20 per person.
