An artist’s collective will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a special exhibition this week.

Green Door Artists, a collective of over 100 artists living in the South Lakes, will hold their 30th anniversary exhibition in Kendal Parish Church from August 13-18.

The exhibition will feature work in a variety of mediums including painting, drawing, textiles and stained glass.

Green Door Artists said: “The collective was formed in 1995 by a small group of artists based in Kendal and has developed into a collective known for organising some of the region’s leading exhibitions from of over one hundred local artists.”

The exhibition is free to enter and will run from 9am-4pm Wednesday-Monday with Sunday opening hours of 12.30pm-4pm.

The group of artists hold an annual art trail as well as informal social events and occasional half-day art courses for Green Door members throughout the year.
