An open studios event is set to showcase the work of local artists this September.

Lunesdale Arts Open Studios tour will see a group of artists from the Lune Valley open their work places to the public over two weekends.

Taking place from 11am-5pm on Sept 6-7 and Sept 13-14, the Open Studios Event has been running for more than 20 years.

The open event will feature work in a variety of media, including paintings, woven/felted textiles, sculpture, lino cuts and engravings.

Lunesdale Arts said: “This year’s Lunesdale Arts Open Studio event brings together a diverse and talented group of local artists, each offering a unique perspective and creative voice.

“The participating artists are all based in and around the beautiful Lune Valley, drawing inspiration from its landscapes, heritage, and community.

"This is a rare opportunity to step inside their working studios, see their creative process up close, and engage directly with the people behind the art.”
