A well-known and loved Symphony Orchestra is set to tour South Cumbria later this month in an innovative performance of a Beethoven classic.
The Kimichi Symphony Orchestra will play three concerts in their tour of the Lake District from October 25.
The famed orchestra will be performing Beethoven's Fifth Symphony for concert goers, but with a twist.
Organisers describe the event as “Beethoven like you have never heard it before!”
Those in attendance will get to experience hearing the famous German composers Fifth Symphony whilst sitting alongside the musicians themselves, in an immersive and creative performance like no other.
The three-show tour will kick off at St Mary’s Parish Church, Ambleside, on October 25, before a family-friendly show at Kendal Town Hall on October 26 and finishing off in Victoria Hall, Grange-over-Sands, on October 27.
Organisers state: “Known for its energy, innovation, and commitment to bringing classical music to new audiences, the [Kimichi] orchestra continues to break down barriers by performing in unexpected venues and connecting directly with communities.
“This tour brings their vibrant, people-first approach to some of the region's most picturesque settings, proving once again that world-class music doesn't belong only in concert halls – it belongs to everyone.”
