A new orchestra set to launch in the new year has called for musicians to take part.

North Fusion Orkesta is looking for members to join ahead of its first rehearsals in 2026.

The orchestra aims to combine inspirations from jazz and contemporary music with plans to hold rehearsals every week in Kirkby Lonsdale.

North Fusion Orkesta said: “We are inviting players for our 2026 new year launch. We aim to create a new forward-thinking ensemble, drawing inspiration from big band, jazz, world and contemporary styles.

“We need dedicated players of brass, woodwind, strings (including guitar etc) as well as keys, percussion and drums.

“If you play any of these to a grade 5+ standard , and might be interested in this new year project, please get in touch!”

Weekly rehearsals are expected to take place in Kirkby Lonsdale every Tuesday from 6-9pm.

Anyone interested in taking part can contact North Fusion Orkesta via their Facebook page.
