A Lake District hotel has been featured in a list of the best vegetable restaurants in the world.
The Forest Side in Grasmere was ranked 56th in the world in a list of the Top 100 Best Vegetable Restaurants in the world published this week.
The Forest Side’s restaurant was recognised by We’re Smart World, an organisation that recognises and celebrates sustainability and ecological practices in the food industry.
The Forest Side team said: “We’re thrilled that The Forest Side has been ranked 56th in the world!
“Nestled in the heart of the Lake District, our kitchen celebrates the very best of homegrown and locally sourced produce - straight from our gardens to your plate.
“A huge thank-you to our incredible team and loyal guests for helping us achieve this recognition. Here’s to more sustainable, flavour-packed adventures ahead!”
The kitchen at The Forest Side is run by Paul Leonard, offering four- or eight-course menus alongside breakfast, lunch and cocktails.
