Westmorland and Furness Council is now appealing for young budding politicians to apply to be the area's new Member of Youth Parliament (MYP).
The election to find the new MYP for the Westmorland and Furness area is now open.
The lucky winner will get the chance to replace the current office holder, Honey Barker.
The next young parliamentarian’s term will begin next year and stretch a length for two years, finishing in 2028.
The council has said that individuals applying for the role must be aged between 11-18.
Applicants can only apply if they are members of the Youth Council.
However, this can be done on application.

Additionally, according to the council, schools in the area will be sent election packs during the week commencing November 24.
Honey Barker, the current Westmorland and Furness MYP, successfully ran at the previous election on the manifesto pledge of raising awareness of youth mental health.
