Final tickets for next year's Kendal Calling festival have sold out just 12 hours after its line-up was revealed.
The popular Lake District festival will return to Lowther Deer Park from July 30 to August 2 in 2026, with the confirmed acts announced earlier this week.
It has become the 21st consecutive year in which the festival has sold out, and 40,000 music lovers will now be preparing for the pilgrimage.
Andy Smith, founder of Kendal Calling said: “It’s the greatest Christmas present of all - to have gone out with tickets this morning and be sold out by the evening is truly incredible.
"Each year, the demand for the show grows but this is the first time we’ve sold out in a day which is really something.
"We often say it but the heart of the festival really is the audience and the community that breathe life into these fields each year - we can’t wait to welcome you all back for the next adventure."
Led by headliners including Scottish alt-rock icons Biffy Clyro, one of Britain’s 'most exciting' new arena bands Wolf Alice and 'bonafide indie legends' Two Door Cinema Club and The Kooks, Kendal Calling will host hundreds of performers over the weekend.
With over 120 acts announced already, the 2026 edition is boasting one of next summer’s 'most essential' line-ups, from pop icons Scissors Sisters, Gabrielle and Groove Armada to indie stars The Vaccines, Jamie Webster, The Lathums and The Snuts.
They will be joined by appearances from some 'genuine legends' as well, such as The Libertines, Doves and special guests still to be announced.
Kendal Calling will reveal more of 2026’s programme including comedy, live art, installations, the illuminated wonderland of Lost Eden, Kids Calling, parties, talks, films, food and drink, themes, parades and plenty more over the coming months.
