A rugby club in the Lake District has aspirations to create a new team for younger players in the area.
Ambleside Rugby Club, already boasting the men's Centurions and the women's Eagles, shared this week that discussions have started on forming an under-14's side.
This comes after an appeal from the club for more players to get involved with the outfit, so that it can continue to 'flourish' in 2026.
A spokesperson said: "Following a recent social media post that highlighted both our challenges and why this club matters, we’ve been tasked with creating an under-14's team.
"While this will require significant infrastructure and support, it represents an incredible opportunity - not just for the club, but for young lads across the surrounding areas.
"This is more than recruitment - it’s about securing the future of the club and rugby in this area, whilst giving people of all ages the chance to be part of something special."
