A 'zero-waste' shop in Kendal is encouraging shoppers to make sustainable choices part of their everyday routine.
Another Weigh, in Wainwright’s Yard, operates on a refill-and-reuse model, inviting customers to bring their own containers, fill up with loose products, and pay by weight.
The shop is promoting sustainable shopping as a New Year’s resolution, aiming to reduce waste and make sustainable choices accessible.
Jodie, from the Another Weigh team, said: "We love that customers are making shopping with us their New Year’s Resolution."
Membership at the shop is optional but offers a 10 per cent discount on food purchases for a year.
Annual membership costs £30, or £15 for students and concession holders who show a valid card in store.
Shoppers can sign up in-store or via the shop’s website.
Another Weigh was founded by Cumbrian teenager Amy Bray, supporting her environmental charity, also called Another Way.
The shop’s model aims to help reduce packaging waste and amplify the store’s positive environmental impact.
