A series of road closures are scheduled in and around Kendal over the next two weeks to allow for various works to take place.
A closure is scheduled on Burneside Road on February 22 from 8am until 4pm.
The closure is necessary for vegetation works carried out by Network Rail.
Pedestrian and dismounted cyclist access is set to be maintained through the closed section.
However, access for emergency vehicles is not expected to be preserved where it is required during these works.
A three-week closure is set to start on New Road on March 2 to facilitate utility repair works by United Utilities Water.
The scheduled closure is expected to last until April 24, impacting access throughout that time.
The nature of the work means that maintaining access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists is not possible.
Access for emergency vehicles is also expected not be maintained during this period.
Sharps Lane is scheduled to undergo de-vegetation works starting on March 3.
The scheduled closure is set to begin at 9am and is expected to remain in effect until March 20 at 3.30pm.
Despite the ongoing works, pedestrian and dismounted cyclist access is expected be maintained throughout the closure.
Emergency vehicle access is also set to be provided where necessary.
There are set to be further closures on Sharps Lane overnight from March 3 at 11.15pm until March 4 at 6.15am.
The scheduled closure, by Network Rail, is required for tamping works.
During this period, pedestrian and dismounted cyclist access is set to be maintained, but emergency vehicles will not have access as required.
There is also a scheduled closure on the A684, which runs from Kendal to Scotch Jeans at Killington.
The closure, scheduled from February 24 at 7pm until February 27 at 5am, will also affect Singleton Park Road.
Highway works are scheduled to take place during this period, and due to the nature of the work, access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists is not expected to be possible.
Emergency vehicles are also not expected to be able to gain access where it is required.
Another segment of the A684 is set to experience a closure from February 23 at 7pm until February 26 at 5am.
Similar to the previous closure, the scheduled highway works are set to be conducted by Westmorland and Furness Council.
