An art workshop is set to take place in Kendal this weekend.
The Brewery Arts Centre is hosting Line Hatching with Hideyuki Sobue on Saturday, March 21, from 1pm to 5pm.
Attendees will learn the Japanese visual artist’s signature line hatching technique using pencil and black acrylic, under his guidance.
Participants will develop a nature-themed artwork during the session and whilst organisers say most materials will be provided, guests are urged to bring a small fan brush, a sketchbook, graphite pencils, and a putty rubber.
Mr Sobue, who lives and works in the Lake District, has exhibited widely across the UK and Japan.
His brush hatching technique blends elements from the Florentine Renaissance and Japanese artistic heritage.
Places for the workshop are limited to adults aged 18 and over.
