A one-day road closure is set to be in place for utility works in Heversham this week.

The scheduled closure affects a section of the U5340 in Heversham, from its junction with the C5072 and extends south-east for 30 metres.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

Restrictions are part of a temporary traffic regulation order issued by Westmorland and Furness Council.

The planned closure will be from July 3 and will remain in force only while traffic signs are displayed.

Westmorland and Furness Council has said that the work is expected to last for one day.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained throughout.

Anyone with queries can contact the highways hotline on 0300 373 3306 or find more information on the Westmorland and Furness Council website.
