A police investigation into the vandalism at a Barrow charity shop is continuing.
Re: Love by St Mary's Hospice, on Dalton Road, was targeted on September 2 when the push to open door button for the accessible door was destroyed and the community and hospice notice board was torn down.
Cumbria Police said an investigation is currently underway and various enquiries have been done in the area.
A spokesman for Ulverston-based St Mary’s Hospice said: "Everyone at St Mary’s Hospice is incredibly disappointed that our Barrow-based charity shop, Re:Love by St Mary’s Hospice, was targeted by vandalism on Wednesday 2nd September, causing damage to our notice boards and power-assisted door.
"The shop plays an important role in supporting St Mary’s Hospice and the local community, while the accessible entrance helps ensure that everyone can visit us.
"Our services are always free for patients, families and carers to access, but they are not free to run. Our charity shops are essential in helping us generate the income we need to keep our services running and our doors open to those who need us."
They added: "We are grateful to the local community for their continued support and hope those responsible understand the impact their actions have on a charity and, most importantly, the people we support."
