A section of the A592 in Newby Bridge is set to close for utility works.

Westmorland and Furness Council announced the planned closure, affecting approximately 490 metres of the road, from a point 750 metres south of its junction with the U5251.

The closure is scheduled for September 23 and is expected to last for one day.

Motorists are advised to follow alternative routes via the unrestricted sections of the A592, A591, and the A590.
