The new series of the Great British Bake Off is confirmed to be starting on Tuesday, September 22.
The Channel 4 show has gone through some changes with judge Prue Leith leaving Bake Off and being replaced by Nigella Lawson.
One thing that has not changed is its filming location, as the bright white tent will be returning for 2026.
But where is the iconic white tent placed when the Great British Bake Off is being filmed, and can you visit it?
Where is the Great British Bake Off filmed?
The white tent is placed in Welford Park in Berkshire next to the Grade I listed Welford Park House.
Filming for the show usually starts in April and takes 10 weeks.
The show has been filmed at Welford Park since series 5 in 2014 with it being relocated for two years during the pandemic.
During Covid, the show was filmed at Down Hall hotel in Bishop’s Stortford with all of the contestants having to form a “self-contained biosphere” with their families being able to join them.

Before the show found its home at Welford Park in 2014, Bake Off was filmed at Harptree Court in Somerset for series three and four and at Valentines Mansion in Redbridge for series two.
For the first ever series of Bake Off that aired in 2010, the tent was relocated each week to a different part of the UK that related to that week’s theme.
For cake week, the show was filmed in the Cotswolds, and for bread week, it was filmed at Sarre Windmill, which is near Sandwich in Kent.
Can I visit the Bake Off tent?
Unfortunately, the Bake Off tent is only up during filming but you can visit Welford Park.
Welford Park House has gone through a few changes during its history with it being a monastery and then used as Henry VIII’s hunting lodge.
Since 1618, Welford Park has been owned by the same family and while you cannot just take a leisurely stroll through the area whenever you like, there are lots of events you can attend.
