The owner of a new gym in South Cumbria has said he has been 'overwhelmed' by local support after over a hundred different visitors came through the business' doors in under a week.
Dunes Fitness Ltd was launched by Ryan Grainger earlier in October in Grange-over-Sands to create an exercise space where everyone, whatever their fitness level, would feel welcome.
Mr Grainger posted on social media: "To every single one of you who has walked through the doors in the last week: your support means more than I can say.
"I’ve been overwhelmed by the response to Dunes.
"In under a week, we’ve welcomed over 100 different visitors through the door, and I honestly can’t quite comprehend it."
The independent gym offers a variety of memberships, starting from £24.99 for off-peak use and rising to £39.99 for a one-month pass.
A day pass costs £5.99 whilst access to the gym for a week will set you back £15.99.
Mr Grainger said: "I wanted to create a gym and a community space for our area.
"A place where anyone interested in fitness, whatever their experience level, could feel welcome and meet like-minded people."
Dunes Fitness is the result of more than six months of planning, work, and what Mr Grainger described as "sleepless nights" and "countless hours arguing with ChatGPT over branding".
He added: "I love where we live, and my hope is that in the coming weeks and months, Dunes will bring our community together and help others discover their love for fitness too.
"I promise each and every one of you that I’ll continue to put my everything into making Dunes a space we can all be proud of.
"This is just the start."
Dunes can be found at Unit 14 Alnat Business Park, Lindale, Grange-Over-Sands, LA11 6PQ
